Ski Overview
Relentless Energy Drink Freeze Festival Ski Competitions include the International Freeski Big Air as well as the Ski Union Battle of Britain. Nowhere else in the UK will you witness this level of competitive skiing. Sure, we love to say we don’t care about comps, forget it, they all want to win this one!
The Freeze Festival Invitational Ski Competition invites the top 36 freestyle skiers in the World to Battersea Power Station for one day only. This is the only time you will see this level of skiing in the UK. That is a fact, don’t miss the chance. They are the best, why would you miss the best?
The event since its inception has welcomed the cream of the ski crop including legends of the sport such as Tanner Hall, Simon Dumont, Bobby Brown and 2011 skier of the year Henrik Harlaut. This year is no different. Who will be crowned Freeze Champion 2012? Last year witnessed Kiwi Jossi Wells take the coveted Freeze Crown with Oscar Scherlin from Sweden and PK Hunder taking second and third respectively.
The Ski Union Battle of Britain invites the top 16 British Skiers to show the rest of the World what they are made of. It is these guys that will be flying the flag for the UK in the years to come. The added incentive in this event is that the top three qualify for the Invitational Big Air Event. This gets the guys going and 2011 was no different. After only just making it to the event on time, after some dodgy coach scheduling, James Woodsy Woods took top spot followed by Andy Matthew and James Machon.
