Relentless Energy Drink Freeze  is running an Arts Programme for 2012, offering grants for creative installations at the festival. Whether you already have an installation that you think would add another dimension to Freeze or want to plan and produce something completely original – we are looking for your most creative and imaginative ideas

 

We have three grant options – Art Installations, Creative Activations and Creative Décor.

 

Art Installations

This is a very open brief and we are pleased to be able to accommodate almost any concept and will help you adapt and grow your ideas if we think you’re on to a winner!

To create art in a festival context requires imagination, an ability to understand the audience’s perspective, heaps of originality and a love for the interactive and intriguing. We encourage art installations, performance, collectives and group based projects, but if you are thinking big ask for information on other opportunities like the Creative Activation and Creative Décor programmes as well (see below form). Grants available up to £250.

Creative Activation

Creative Activation is about interactive spaces that engage the Freeze audience in something that’s as original as it is intriguing. This is a very open brief and we’re eager to see what genius ideas you come up with. We encourage the use of performance art, marvelous themes and creations, which can incorporate music but go way beyond the concept of a stage. Think about more intimate areas that could be interactive, entertaining or for exploring or reflecting.
Grants available up to £1,500.

Creative Décor

Creative Décor can be anything that’s fun and enhances the festival experience for the audience. Think large tall sculptures people can walk amongst, huge balloons, hanging lanterns, giant deckchairs, sand sculptures, decorative seating, giant word magnet walls. They can be installation based or more geared to making the site look visually stimulating, but what you must keep in mind is that Creative Décor is heavily reliant on immediate visual impact. Again you may apply in groups or individually.
Grants available up to £500.
