ones to watch

Jacob Wester

Last year's Big Air champion at Freeze returns to defend his title and take it up another gear. Coming from a family of sport superstars, Jacob began skiing at five and now sets the standard for the biggest airs. After coming back from a number of injuries Wester is stronger than ever and will be a tough competitor to beat. There is no doubt this guy will deliver.

Henrik Harlaut

Known for his smooth style and ability to make it look too easy, Swedish Henrik Harlaut has bags of style and an set of impressive results. He's been winning titles since he was sixteen, developing his style to become one of the most creative and promising skiers out there. This year he's set to impress and you won't be disappointed.

James Woods

The home grown James Woods learnt in Sheffield seven years ago and since then has become one to watch on the Freeski scene. After taking bronze at the Winter X games and first places at major contest over the last few years, this skier is one to watch. He's going from strength to strength at the moment and we're sure he'll make the country proud at Freeze this year!

International Ski Big Air

The World’s Ski Elite will arrive at Battersea Power Station to take part in the only event of its kind in the UK. With 32 spots available and interest at an all time high, we cannot wait to take entries. Its going to be huge!

Each skier will have 2 runs with the top 16 going through to a head to head format. Each match up will offer 2 runs with the highest going through to the next round. This will go all the way to a 4 man 3 run final.

Ski Union Battle Of Britain

The Ski Union BOB offers the best of British the opportunity to show everyone exactly where British skiing is at. With the likes of Paddy Graham and 2011 X Games Bronze medallist James Woods in the mix the BOB is a highlight for Freeze...

2010 saw Paddy Graham triumph over Joe Tomlinson and James Woods.

EU vs. The World

2010 saw the inaugural Europe v’s the World event pitching combined teams of skiers and snowboarders going head to head to decide who rules the Freeze roost.

The format is as follows:

2 snowboarders and 2 skiers per team competing in 3 categories:

- Best trick

- Trick selector

- Crowd judge

Order – 1 point per run available.

- US ski v’s EU Ski

- US snowboard v’s EU Snowboard

- US ski v’s EU Ski

- US snowboard v’s EU Snowboard

Last year saw Europe win 9-7 over the USA!!!

About the Big Air Jump

Relentless Energy Drink freeze is centred around the bespoke 32 m kicker created especially for Freeze. Never has London witnessed a jusp of this proportion. Some facts about the jump:

32m high

the equivalent of 8 double decker busses stacked on top of each other.

100m long

It would take Linford Christie 10 seconds to run the length of the jump!

500 tonnes of real snow

is created over the two days. Snow is created by blowing water at high speeds through liquid nitrogen
