We are delighted to announce that Freeze will be supporting innovative youth charity Snow-Camp.
Snow-Camp have been using a combination of skiing, snowboarding and life-skills to help inner city young people since 2003 – so they were the obvious charity for Relentless Energy Drink Freeze to support at this year’s event! James Rodd, Events Marketing Manager said, “Snow-Camp have opened up snow sports for so many inner city young people who would otherwise never have this opportunity – we are right behind the charity and hope to be able to raise awareness of their work throughout the festival.”
Snow-Camp will be running a stand at Freeze where you can find out more about the charity’s work, and young people who have benefited from Snow-Camp programmes will be on hand to discuss the impact of skiing and snowboarding on their lives - some of whom have become snow-sports instructors through Snow-Camp’s programmes.
Dan Charlish, Director of Snow-Camp, said, “This is such a fantastic association for Snow-Camp. Freeze reaches so many young skiers and snowboarders in London – and this partnership enables us to tell them a little about Snow-Camp and hopefully get them involved in the charity. Whether that is signing up for our French Alps fundraising event The Everest Challenge 2012 donating £2 to win Ed Leigh’s signed snowboard or simply liking our – it all helps!”
Ski Sunday presenter and Patron of Snow-Camp Ed Leigh said, “The idea behind Snow-Camp is very simple: to share snow sports with people who would normally never get to experience them, but who need them most. The project has huge potential to help young people. I think Snow-Camp has succeeded in breaking down barriers to a demographic of young people who would never previously have considered skiing or snowboarding as something that they might want to do - it’s a fantastic concept.”
